I was once a lovely blond daisy

from whence one does not know

I grew, there, in my spot

to shine and beautify my world

nourish those around me

until that day

you walked past me

stopped, stared, back stepped

looked closer, deeper, harder

put your steady hands around me

and plucked me from the dirt

once so beautifully thriving

now sentenced to death

for once picked

a flower loses strength

hope, love, life

dirtied by your hands

by your love

never to be the same

short lived life sentence

I once was a lovely blond daisy
