Transparencies

You wear your heart on your sleeve

and your insecurities fit you like a glove

And there’s nothing left for you to say

that would ever truly be enough

The way your honesty has broken

you become more transparent everyday

As much as I don’t want to leave

in your constant letdown I won’t stay

You say just what you think you mean

but you’ve never meant what you said

I’m still living with your burden

I’d rather be anywhere else instead

I fail to see your angle

this vicious circle I’m caught in

This time you won’t catch me

so you’ll never keep me once again
